Thomas Frazier, MDThomas Frazier, M.D., is board certified in gastroenterology. He is a native of Louisa, Kentucky and the founding physician of Three Rivers Gastroenterology. He provides comprehensive care for digestive conditions and diseases, from preventive screening and diagnostic testing to endoscopic treatment.

Dr. Frazier earned a bachelor of science degree, summa cum laude, from Morehead State University in Kentucky and a doctor of medicine degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed a three-year internal medicine residency, as well as a three-year fellowship in gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition – both at the University of Louisville. During his final fellowship year, he served as chief fellow, and continues to participate in research at the University of Louisville as well as publish articles in peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Frazier also serves as an assistant clinical professor at the University of Louisville, Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition and as adjunct clinical professor at the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

He is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, and the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.

Getting to Know Dr. Frazier:

Born and raised in Louisa, Ky.,  Dr. Frazier’s father, James A. Frazier (deceased), worked in and around coal mines for the majority of his life. His mother, Annette Frazier is now retired from Burger King in Louisa, where she was a manager for many years. His brother, Michael Frazier and sister, Janie Daniels, both live in Louisa with their families. Dr. Frazier’s wife, Heather (Thomas) is an occupational therapist and the daughter of Mitch and Jeanene Thomas of Rush, Ky.
